Make It Morning eBook Jodi Bainter
I began reading "Make It Morning" with some trepidation--my family had suffered a similar tragedy. And so I began cautiously with that memory fresh in my mind. It didn't take long for tears of sadness to crawl down my cheeks as the horror of the event sparked memories of my own family's fateful day. Nevertheless, I plunged ahead, albeit in small increments, hoping that Jodi's tale would somehow strengthen me. I was not disappointed. Her courage and boldness was inspiring. And though I shed many more tears as I moved through the story, the love the Bainters demonstrated was proudly on display throughout. My hope is that while most of the physical harm has been repaired, the emotional scars may some day disappear as well. Bret in particular, may always be haunted by the horrible images and guilt. My sense is that he suffers from PTSD, a subject I know well. I pray he gets help and rises above it.
The book is a double-edged sword. in that it is a sad, depressing story, yet one that has an uplifting message. In the end, the Bainter family has embraced the Lord and darkness turns into light. Well done Jodi.

Make It Morning eBook Jodi Bainter Reviews
Going on this difficult journey with this family is very emotional but very inspiring. Love, faith and courage bring this to it's ultimate triumph both physically and spiritually. God bless this family.
This was a very moving story about the tragic accident that affected this family. It could have used some professional editing as some of the grammar and sentence structure made it a little hard to follow.
The Bainter Family endured what no one should have to when their beautiful young son was so injured in a tragic lawn mower accident. This book tells the story of such an amazing young boy, the agony he went through, the odds he overcame and the journey of his mother and dad through this life changing experience. The faith they learn and the support they are given by extended family, healthcare givers, educators and friends is inspiring. But most of all Jake Bainter is the hero and quite an exceptional young man. This book is well written and I admire the honesty of the author and the endurance she mustered to get through years of heartache for her son and husband. Inspiring!
Heart-wrenching story; I have a hard time reading these types of books so I am cautious before I settle in to read any true story of illness and loss. However, Mr. Bainter doesn't flinch from telling it all like it is. You will laugh, you will cry, you will be inspired. Excellent book, and I'm very glad I bought it.
this book does a good job making you feel what the family was going through. She kept the grammatical errors from the journal entries in order to keep it authentic, but sometimes they just made it hard to read. Also, the pictures in the middle of the book gave away the ending, so if anyone was still reading to find out what happened, they didn't have to go beyond the pictures. No point reading much after that. I had to read it for work, and I'd say it was valuable to have read it, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have to read it.
Horrific thought for us all ... running over a child with a mower. I did find this book redundant and continued on reading mainly to hear of Jakes future . He is Blessed to live in a world where many have gone before him.
This is a story about the strength of a family after a horrific accident befell their 3 year old son. I cried through the majority of the book but couldn't put it down as I had to know what happened. The story touched my heart as I have been battling with a long-term illness for nearly four years. It reminded me of the strentgh and support of my wife and our neighbors. It also helped me to see that people help for different reasons and it was selfish of me not to let them. That helping is how some people deal with their own grief and instead of trying my best not to burden others with my illness I should have accepted more help from those who offered it.
Just the other day I was sitting at the hospital waiting for my treatment when I saw a woman talking on her cell phone and crying. I couldn't help overhearing that her daughter was in the operating room where they were trying to repair a torn ACL in her knee. Her daughter is an athelete and sports are her life I kept hearing her say. I looked over at her and saw the pain in her face and thought of this book. I thought of the time when Jodi looked in the waiting room at other parents and wanted to comfort them but I didn't know what to say. I wished I had the copy of the book with me. I would have given it to her.
This story has changed the way I view many things and I highly recommend it to anyone who is dealing with injuries, illness, grief or just really likes to read about how ordinary people find the strength to become extraordinary in times of crisis.
